The Ministry of Industry (Kementerian Perindustrian – “Kemenperin”) has prepared a revision of the National Industrial Development Master Plan (Rencana Induk Pembangunan Industri Nasional – “RIPIN”), which was previously regulated in Regulation of the Government No. 14 of 2015 on the National Industrial Development Master Plan for 2015-2035 (“PP 14/2015”).
Expert Staff for Strengthening Domestic Industrial Capabilities at the Ministry of Industry, Adie Rachmanto Pandiagian, said that in the formation of the latest RIPIN, the target of industrial development prioritizes environmental insight and as an affirmation of Indonesia's commitment to reducing Greenhouse Gas (Gas Rumah Kaca – “GRK”) emissions.
He emphasized that the current green industry program is one of the focuses of the latest RIPIN. The development of RIPIN will also be in line with the commitment to enhanced Nationally Determined Contributions (“NDC”), he vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 and Net Zero Emission 2060.
“The Minister was tasked with preparing RIPIN, the latest revision of RIPIN. We are guarding and monitoring the issue of green industry properly,” said Adie.
