Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2024 on the Third Amendment to Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2018 on Health Insurance includes criteria for inpatient care facilities based on the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS).
The government is preparing a derivative regulation of the KRIS policy in accordance with Article 46A paragraph (3) of Presidential Regulation No. 59 of 2024.
“There will be detailed follow-up regulations, but it is still being discussed by technical units. The derivative regulation will be in the form of a Minister of Health Regulation,” said Head of the Legal Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Indah Febrianti, to hukumonline.com.
Implementation of inpatient care facilities based on KRIS will be fully applied to hospitals cooperating with BPJS Health no later than June 30, 2025. Before that date, hospitals may implement part or all of the inpatient services referring to KRIS according to their capabilities.
