The Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs (Coordinating Ministry) is finalizing the preparation of Draft Regulation of the President (“Draft Regulation”) on the Information Technology-Based Integrated Criminal Justice System (“SPPT-TI”). This regulation is expected to provide legal certainty, improve efficiency, and strengthen integration between law enforcement agencies.
“The progress is currently in the finalization stage of the appendix to the Draft Regulation on SPPT-TI, which contains technical details,” said one of the Coordinating Ministry officials to Hukumonline.
The SPPT-TI Draft Regulation is one of the 2025 Presidential Regulation Drafting Programs (Progsun Perpres). The appendix on the action plan for the development and implementation of the National SPPT will be divided into two phases, namely in 2029 and 2034. This plan includes the expected conditions for each phase to ensure that the implementation of the information technology-based criminal justice system is measurable and targeted.
“In the future, a person in charge (PIC) will also be appointed within the legal framework that will form the basis for the sending, receiving, and exchange of data or documents electronically using electronic signatures (“TTE”),” he said.
