The government is currently formulating the amount of Non-Tax State Revenue (Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak– “ PNBP ”) tariffs for license related to the Utilization of Geothermal Environmental Services (Pemanfaatan Jasa Lingkungan Panas Bumi– “ PJLPB ”) in Conservation Areas. This provision will be regulated through a draft Regulation of the Minister of Forestry.
“This will regulate the amount of PNBP levies that must be paid annually. We will establish this in a Ministerial Regulation with the approval of the Minister of Finance,” said Nandang Prihadi, Director of Environmental Services Utilization at the Ministry of Forestry, to Hukumonline.
This regulation is a derivative regulation from Government Regulation No. 36 of 2024 on the Types and Tariffs of PNBP at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (“ PP 36/2024 ”). Under the new regulation, the Ministry of Forestry will determine the amount of levies for PJLPB. The targeted conservation areas include National Parks, Nature Tourism Parks, and Grand Forest Parks.
“The formula is already provided in PP 36/2024, but the tariff amounts will be further regulated in the Ministerial Regulation,” said Nandang.
