The government will revise Regulation of the President No. 60 of 2021 on the Preservation of National Priority Lakes (“Regulation 60/2021”). This is due to regulatory inconsistencies that are deemed to hinder the operations of strategic business actors in the Lake Toba area.

“During the review and revision of these regulations, PT Aqua Farm Nusantara (AFN) is expected to continue operating optimally in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

Furthermore, the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programs to Support Economic Growth (Satgas P3M-PPE) will recommend the issuance of discretion on production quotas for Tilapia aquaculture in the area. This is because Tilapia is one of the government’s export targets.
