The House of Representatives (“DPR”) has begun catching up on discussions regarding the Draft Bill on State Finance, which was drafted under the Omnibus Law framework. Chairman of House Commission XI Muhammad Misbakhun stated that this Draft Bill is a follow-up to the enactment of Law No. 1 of 2025 and Law No. 16 of 2025 (collectively referred to as “BUMN Law”) regarding the governance of BUMN and state finance.
“We have received instructions to immediately proceed with the discussion of the State Finance Draft Bill,” Misbakhun told Hukumonline.
The State Finance Omnibus Law Draft Bill will be discussed after the ratification of the revision to the Law on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (P2SK). In line with these changes, the government and DPR need to amend several laws, including the State Finance Law, the State Treasury Law, the State Assets Law, and the Non-Tax State Revenue Law.
