The government has reimposed anti-dumping duties (“BMAD”) on imports of hot-rolled coils (“HRC”) made of non-alloy iron or steel originating from the People’s Republic of China, India, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Taiwan, and Thailand. The imposition of this BMAD will be regulated in the Draft Regulation of the Minister of Finance (“Draft Regulation”) on the Amendment to Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 103 of 2024 (“Regulation 103/2024”).
“This is based on the findings of the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) to prevent recurring harm to the domestic industry,” stated a Expert Staff of Legal and Institutional Relations at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), who declined to be named, to Hukumonline.
The imposition of the BMAD will apply to imports of rolled floor products made of iron or non-alloy steel with a width of 600 mm (six hundred millimeters) or more. This includes hot-rolled, uncoated, unplated, or uncoated products in coils classified under post tariffs of 7208.10.00, 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27. 11, 7208.27.19, 7208.27.91, 7208.27.99, 7208.36.00, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, 7208.39. 10, 7208.39.20, 7208.39.30, 7208.39.40, 7208.39.90, ex7208.90.10, ex7208.90.20, and ex7208.90.90.
