The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is preparing various forms of incentives and facility support to strengthen the halal industry in Indonesia. The development of this incentive scheme refers to Regulation of the Minister of Industry No. 40 of 2025 on Halal Industry Development Roadmap 2025-2029 (“ Permenperin 40/2025 ”).

“We are currently formulating policies to provide certain incentives for industries located in Halal Industrial Zones (Kawasan Industri Halal–“ KIH ”),” said Emmy Suryandari, Head of the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency (Badan Standardisasi dan Kebijakan Jasa Industri/BSKJI).

The development of the incentive scheme is one of the key focuses in drafting derivative regulations of the roadmap, which are expected to attract investment and improve cost efficiency. Kemenperin is also preparing technical regulations to implement the halal concept as Standard Operating Procedures (“ SOP ”) within industrial companies.
