The Ministry of Industry collaborates with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) in developing the Indonesia Emas 2045 industrial sector roadmap.
Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, Vice Chairman for Organization, Law, and Communication of KADIN Indonesia, stated that KADIN focuses on strengthening the national economy to support the target of 8% economic growth in line with the President's vision and the Indonesia Emas vision.
"One of the efforts that must be undertaken is through national industrial resilience. This is to ensure it becomes a key driver of the economy, creates jobs, and maintains domestic needs," Yukki told hukumonline.com.
KADIN identifies four key aspects in strengthening strategic industries. The primary key is formulating strategies and implementing policies to strengthen reindustrialization in the manufacturing sector.
The four key aspects include:
Expanding resource downstreaming and exploring export expansion to support increased non-oil and gas export contributions, particularly from the manufacturing sector;
Developing the electric vehicle industry as a key driver of an ecosystem linking upstream and downstream sectors with a strong domestic market potential;
Building a semiconductor industry; and
Digitalization through the implementation of Industry 4.0 as a catalyst for national industrial strengthening.
