The Association of Indonesian Express Delivery Service Companies (Asperindo) is urging the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) to accelerate the issuance of Regulation of the Minister (Permen) to support the digital transformation of the postal, courier, and logistics industry. This is related to increasingly intense business competition with digital platforms, as well as the lack of harmonious regulations among ministries in building the postal and courier industry ecosystem.

“We hope for more integrated regulations so that the postal and logistics industry can grow healthily and be able to compete with global platforms,” said Muhammad Feriadi Soeprapto, Chairman of Asperindo, to Hukumonline.

Based on Draft Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics on Commercial Postal Services (“ RPM LPL ”) obtained by Hukumonline, the government is finalizing an omnibus regulation for commercial postal services. Several substance that will be regulated include minimum coverage for on-demand delivery, service standards and tariffs, as well as supervision and partnerships in postal service organization for agents and couriers, which must be treated equally.
