The Government is currently preparing updates to the regulations governing the Procurement of Goods and Services (Pengadaan Barang/Jasa - “PBJ”) at the village level. The proposed Regulation of the National Public Procurement Agency (Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintah - “LKPP”) will serve as the basis for Regents and Mayors in formulating regulations on the Procedures for the Village Procurement of Goods and Services.
“The guidelines being developed are expected to provide a uniform reference for regional governments in conducting village procurement of goods and services in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations,” said Emin Adhy Muhaemin, Director of General Procurement Strategy and Policy Development at LKPP.
From a regulatory perspective, the proposed LKPP Regulation will update the guidelines that regional governments have long relied upon in formulating Regent or Mayor Regulations on village PBJ. Accordingly, the Government seeks to provide a standardized framework that can serve as a reference for all regency and city governments, while preserving the flexibility to accommodate the unique characteristics and needs of each region.
