The government is preparing new regulations for the National Public Procurement Agency (“LKPP”). The Director of Strategy and General Procurement Policy Development at LKPP Emin Adhy Muhaemin said the regulations would enable procurement for Government Cooperation with Business Entities (“KPBU”) in infrastructure provision.
“The discussion of these regulations is expected to strengthen legal certainty in the procurement of KPBU projects, which in turn will encourage private investment in infrastructure development,” Enim told Hukumonline.
Through the KPBU scheme, the government can establish mutually beneficial partnerships with the business world, while ensuring the sustainability of national infrastructure development. This is increasingly important amid the limitations of the State Budget (APBN) in financing all development needs.
“The harmonization process is currently underway,” he added.
