The free health check-up program for citizens celebrating their birthdays based on age groups will commence in February 2025 and will be available at Public Health Centers ("Puskesmas").

Speaking to hukumonline.com, Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono, stated that his ministry is preparing the legal foundation for the program. "It will take the form of a Minister of Health Decree," he said.

This free screening will be gradually implemented in all Puskesmas, while private clinics are not yet included, as discussions are still ongoing. As an example, age-based screenings will include hypothyroidism in infants, hypertension, diabetes, and cholesterol in teenagers, and identification of cancer, dementia, and Alzheimer’s in the elderly.
