The Directorate of Hazardous and Toxic Materials (B3) Management is currently preparing Draft Regulation of the Minister on the storage of B3. Director of B3 Management, Firdaus Alim Damopolii, stated that the regulations are being prepared to strengthen technical standards and legal certainty in the field.
“This year, the Directorate of B3 Management will soon prepare a draft regulation of the minister on the storage of hazardous and toxic substances,” said Firdaus.
This step was taken in response to the need for safer and stricter management of B3. A series of industrial accidents serves as a reminder that negligence in storage procedures can have fatal consequences for the safety of workers and the surrounding community.
Furthermore, Firdaus emphasized that hazardous materials must be managed systematically and appropriately to prevent environmental damage and protect human health.
