The Ministry of Finance (Kementerian Keuangan – “Kemenkeu”) is currently formulating a Draft Regulation of the Minister of Finance (Rancangan Peraturan Menteri Keuangan – “RPMK”) on the Service Tariffs of the Public Service Agency (Badan Layanan Umum – “BLU”) of Government Investment Center (Pusat Investasi Pemerintah – “PIP”). The regulation will later expand the reach of financing services from BLU PIP for Micro-, Small-, and Medium-Scale Enterprises (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah – “UMKM”) that have not been reached by formal financing facilities.
“It is being harmonized with the Ministry of Law. The goal is to provide easy and fast financing facilities for entrepreneurs facilitated by the government,” said the Head of the Bureau of Communication and Information Services of Kemenkeu, Deni Surjantoro to Hukumonline.
Through this regulation, BLU PIP can provide service fees for financing services provided to distributors, both in conventional and sharia-based schemes. This tariff structure is designed to be flexible and able to accommodate financing needs from various types of businesses and regions, without burdening small-scale business actors.
