The Ministry of Finance (“MoF”) will soon issue a new regulation regarding the imposition of Anti-Dumping Import Duty (“BMAD”) on imported nylon film products from China, Thailand and Taiwan.
This regulation is expected to provide protection to local industries, while creating a fairer and more competitive trading climate.
“We are preparing a new regulation regarding the BMAD policy, especially for Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene products from several countries,” said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in the Financial System Stability Committee forum some time ago.
The government has implemented the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 60 of 2024 on the Imposition of Antidumping Import Duty on Imports of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) Products from Malaysia and the People's Republic of China (PMK 60/2024), as a follow-up to the report of the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (" KADI ") on imports of goods carried out by Malaysia and China. This practice not only reduces the competitiveness of local products, but also has a significant negative impact on the sustainability of the domestic industry.
"It has been harmonized so it can be issued in the near future," continued Sri Mulyani.
