The Ministry of Industry (“Kemenperin”) is preparing implementing regulations for Regulation of the Government No. 24 of 2026 on the Management of Exports and Strategic Natural Resources Commodities (“Regulation 24/2026”). The Kemenperin Spokesperson Febri Hendri Antoni Arief stated that the regulations aim to support the implementation of a one-stop export system through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (“DSI”).
“Kemenperin will support this by establishing the supply ecosystem, ensuring that industrial products for these commodities have high added value and are competitive in the export market,” Febri told Hukumonline.
Febri noted that the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita plans to increase the domestic industry’s export ratio. Currently, the export ratio hovers around 20 percent, while the remaining 80 percent is sold domestically. The Minister, according to Febri, aims to raise that export figure to 30 percent. “To increase that export ratio, the minister is currently identifying which industrial subsectors can boost the export ratio in a way that supports PT DSI’s program,” he said.
Febri stated that his ministry is still conducting a study to formulate the best policy to increase export demand from domestic industries while still taking domestic demand into account.
