The Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) will make adjustments in the discussion of the revision to Regulation of the Minister of Law No. 22 of 2025 on Requirements and Procedures for the Appointment, Leave, Transfer of Jurisdiction, Dismissal, and Extension of the Term of Office of Notaries (“Permenkum 22/2025”). Director General of General Legal Administration (Dirjen AHU), Widodo. stated that the regulatory adjustments are intended to respond to developments in practice as well as changes in the government’s institutional structure.
“We are ensuring that supervisory mechanisms and enforcement of the code of ethics operate effectively and transparently, so as to provide protection both to the public and to the profession itself,” said Widodo.
This revision of the notary regulation is in line with the digital transformation efforts currently being carried out by the Ditjen AHU in the fiduciary guarantee system (through API-based technology integration). Considering that notaries are the officials responsible for registering fiduciary guarantees, strengthening the governance of the notarial profession will directly improve the validity, security, and speed of integration of civil law administrative services in Indonesia as a whole.
