The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (“BKPM”) is preparing Draft Regulation of the President (“Draft Regulation”) on the 2026–2039 Strategic Investment Downstreaming Roadmap. This strategic roadmap is designed to strengthen import substitution and global supply chains for green technology by increasing the value-added growth of Gross Domestic Product (“GDP”), exports, and employment.

“It is true that we are currently in the drafting stage; eventually, incoming investments will not only involve the construction of production facilities but also technology transfer,” said Riyatno, Deputy for Investment Climate Development at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM.

It is known that investment realization in Indonesia continues to show a positive trend. This is reflected in the achievements of the first half of 2026, which nearly reached 50% of the annual growth target of 7.2%. Meanwhile, BKPM remains committed to creating a more conducive investment climate through end-to-end investment services, as well as streamlining business licensing via the OSS Version 2 application, which is now supported by AI and blockchain technology.
