New OJK Rules Regarding Product Health Insurance

Financial Services Authority ( “ OJK ”) immediately publish rule related Health Insurance Product. Executive Head of Insurance, Guarantee and Pension Fund Supervisor OJK of the OJK, Ogi Prastomiyono convey , this OJK regulation will be published in the first or second quarter of 2025.

"A number of main points that will be arranged among other things is criteria of companies that can market health insurance product,  including types as well as implementation management risk from companies that market Health insurance product," Ogi said to Hukumonline.com .

Ogi added his party has coordinate with the Ministry of Health ( “ Kemenkes ”) in implementing regulation on Coordination of Benefits ( “ CoB ”) or benefits coordination, between the first layer inBadan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial(“ BPJS ”) for Health and commercial insurance. Thus , the company that markets health insurance product can be more efficient in fulfilling public need.

" This matter is in line with circular letter ( “ SE ”) regarding changes to health insurance claim standards which will also be published, in order to determine what can be claimed and what does not need to be claimed," he concluded .
