New Rules for Health Laboratory BLU Tariffs

The Ministry of Finance (Kementerian Keuangan/Kemenkeu) has finalized the Draft Regulation of the Minister of Finance (Rancangan Peraturan Menteri Keuangan – “RPMK”) on the Service Tariffs of Public Service Agencies (Badan Layanan Umum – “BLU”) in the Public Health Laboratory Sector of the Ministry of Health. This RPMK will later revoke and replace three previous Regulations of the Minister of Finance  (Peraturan Menteri Keuangan – “PMK”) that regulate service tariffs at the Public Health Laboratory BLU.

“To simplify and update tariff arrangements in accordance with the development of current service needs and more efficient and transparent BLU financial governance," said Director of PNBP of the Ministry/Institution of Kemenkeu Ririn Kadariyah to Hukumonline.

The substance of this RPMK includes the regulation of the types of BLU service tariffs consisting of two categories, namely main service tariffs and supporting service tariffs. Adjustments are made in the form of the highest tariff limit.

Meanwhile, for supporting service tariffs, the regulation will be delegated to the BLU leadership in order to provide flexibility in setting tariffs that are in accordance with the characteristics and local needs of each service unit.
