The Financial Services Authority (“ OJK ”) is in the process of finalizing amendment to OJK Circular (Rancangan Surat Edaran OJK– “ SEOJK ”) No. 9/SEOJK.03/2020 on Transparency and Publication of Reports by Conventional Commercial Banks (“ SEOJK 9/2020 ”). OJK’s Chief Executive of Banking Supervision, Dian Ediana Rae, explained that the drafting of the regulation aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the banking industry, in line with the Basel Core Principles.
“We are currently finalizing the Draft OJK Circular (Rancangan SEOJK– “ RSEOJK ”) on Transparency and Publication of Reports by Conventional Commercial Banks (“ RSEOJK on Conventional Commercial Bank Reports ”) as an implementing regulation of OJK Regulation No. 18 of 2025 on Transparency and Publication of Bank Reports (“ POJK 18/2025 ”),” said Dian to Hukumonline.
The RSEOJK governs the adjustment of reporting formats, the preparation of reporting guidelines, and the harmonization with current prudential regulations and international standards, such as Pillar 3 disclosures and related party disclosures, in accordance with the Basel Core Principles. It also includes provisions on prudential principles related to Risk-Weighted Assets (“ RWA ”) and the governance of remuneration practices.
