The Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan — “OJK”) is currently preparing several follow-up regulatory frameworks in the Venture Capital Companies, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions (Perusahaan Modal Ventura, Lembaga Keuangan Mikro, dan Lembaga Jasa Keuangan Lainnya — “PVML”) sector. One of these initiatives relates to the development of a roadmap for the development and strengthening of business activities and the bullion ecosystem.
“In 2026, further regulatory frameworks in the PVML sector are planned to be formulated through the issuance of several regulations, including 7 OJK Regulations (Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan — POJK) and 11 Regulations of the Members of the Board of Commissioners (formerly SEOJK),” said Agusman, Chief Executive of Supervision for Financing Institutions, Venture Capital Companies, Microfinance Institutions, and Other Financial Services Institutions, to Hukumonline.
This roadmap is intended to provide comprehensive development guidance for the gold sector ecosystem from upstream to downstream and is not limited to financial services institutions conducting bullion business activities. “The preparation of the bullion business roadmap is currently still at the in-depth discussions stage with the relevant ministries and agencies,” he added.
