Commercial Director of ID Food, Nina Sulistyowati, suggested the government to issue a regulation for the sustainability of community-based business ecosystem for the inclusivity of state food.
“There needs to be a sustainable ecosystem. Now, related to food, there needs to be regulations that are the same level as Regulation of the Coordinating Minister for Food,” said Nina to Hukumonline.
Food aid that has been disbursed by the government is one of the examples of the ecosystem. The existence of ecosystem makes breeders more comfortable as there is a certainty of object and price stability assisted by National Food Agency (Badan Pangan Nasional - “Bapanas”).
She hopes that the next government program would be sustainable and able to involve export commodity. “For example, cooperation with coffee farmer, we offtake coffees, and we help them to export. Including farmers, breeders, fishers, UMKM,” said Nina.
