The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta is preparing Draft Regulation of the Governor (Pergub) on the 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (“RKPD”). This regulation focuses on simplifying regulations to overcome hyper-regulation, which is considered to be hampering the business climate. A dynamic government approach is being implemented through bureaucratic and licensing procedure reforms to improve Jakarta's Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) ranking and global competitiveness.
“Innovative, adaptive, and responsive governance is being strengthened in order to achieve a dynamic government,” said Jakarta Provincial Secretary Uus Kuswanto.
In terms of regional finance, the 2027 policy is directed at providing targeted and measurable regional fiscal incentives to increase tax compliance while supporting the acceleration of the green economy and strengthening the micro-, small-, and medium-scale enterprise (“UMKM”) sector.
Investment support is strengthened through the optimization of the Jakarta Investment Team's role and more aggressive promotion of investment in strategic sectors. The Jakarta government will also encourage the use of creative financing instruments to support major projects, including the continued development of MRT and LRT.
