The government is drafting a policy to strengthen the implementation of halal product assurance to enhance regulatory effectiveness and improve market competitiveness.
Inter-agency meetings have been conducted, and the process is now in the planning stage. “In planning legislation, the pre-legislation (ex-ante) phase must be carried out,” said Director of Legislative Planning at the Ministry of Law, Aisyah Lailiyah, to hukumonline.com.
The Ministry of Law will analyze each legislative planning proposal to ensure that the regulation is an objective necessity and meets the principle of regulatory precision.
Questions are directed to policymakers to conduct an ex-ante analysis on each planned legislative bill. “Additionally, we continue to emphasize regulatory simplification in the formation of laws and regulations,” Aisyah added.
