The Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development (“ Kemenko IPK ”) supports the one map policy. Five regulations are set to be revised to resolve overlapping rules related to land and agrarian issues.

Nazib Faizal, Deputy for Coordination of Equitable Regional Development, Agrarian, and Spatial Planning, did not specify which regulations would be revised. However, one of the revisions will consolidate several presidential regulations (Perpres).

“We are currently unifying three presidential regulations into one. Everything must be synchronized, including the interconnection between applications. Sometimes there are many applications but they are not connected to each other,” Faizal said to Hukumonline.

Kemenko IPK is also finalizing the revision of Regulation of the Government No. 21 of 2021 on the Organization of Spatial Planning (“ PP 21/2021 ”) and Regulation of the the Government related to Agrarian Reform. These two regulations are considered less relevant to technological advancements and current field conditions.

“All regulations are currently under review. Specifically, we are working on two regulations related to Agrarian Reform and Spatial Planning because they are interconnected,” said Faizal.

He emphasized that the map preparation must not be done carelessly but should have a meaningful impact in facilitating the community. Therefore, it needs to be adjusted in line with the times.
