The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (“ ESDM ”) is continuing revisions to Regulation of the President No. 112 of 2022 on the Acceleration of Renewable Energy Development for Electricity Supply (“ Perpres 112/2022 ”). The Director General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (“ EBTKE ”), Eniya Listiani Dewi, stated that the revision process has entered the stage of submission for the President’s initiative approval.
“The initiative approval has already been submitted. If the approval is granted, it will be ready for discussion,” said Eniya.
Eniya confirmed that the discussion process will continue despite the cancellation of the early termination of operations at the Cirebon 1 Coal-Steam Power Plants. According to Eniya, the current focus of the regulatory revision is on the determination of purchase prices for electricity generated from New and Renewable Energy (EBT).
The points of change related to electricity pricing include the purchase of electricity from Hybrid Power Plants, the implementation of electricity purchase prices, and general provisions on electricity purchase pricing.
“Most of the issues concern pricing. There will be further discussion after approval by the State Secretariat,” she added.
