Commission III of Indonesia’s House of Representatives (“ DPR RI ”) is currently deliberating Draft Bill (“ Draft Bill ”) on Civil Procedural Law. This regulation is being formulated to address the complexity of legal issues within the trade and commerce sector.
“Civil procedural law is extremely broad. It governs relationships between individuals, between individuals and legal entities, as well as among legal entities themselves. It also encompasses the sectors of trade, commerce, and the economy,” stated Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Soedeson Tandra.
In the deliberation of this Draft Bill, Commission III of the DPR RI emphasizes the importance of procedures for the resolution of disputes in commercial activities, the clarity of legal standing in disputes, as well as the regulation of legal mechanisms in the event of the transfer of proprietary rights. These provisions are designed to provide legal certainty for business actors.
“We place great importance on the proper formulation and resolution of civil procedural law,” said Soedeson Tandra.
