Target for Harmonizing the Draft Regulation of the President on Strengthening National Logistics This Year

The Draft Regulation of the President ("Rperpres") on Strengthening National Logistics is set to be enacted soon. The regulation will govern the implementation of zero Over Dimension Over Loading (“ODOL”), meaning the prohibition of vehicles that exceed dimensional and load capacity limits.

“According to information from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the regulation will be promulgated this year,” said Assistant Deputy for Land and Railway Connectivity, Hermin Esti, to Hukumonline.

There are nine action points related to the implementation of ODOL in the regulation. “The RPerpres on Strengthening National Logistics is currently undergoing the harmonization process,” said Esti.

The Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development is currently preparing regulations on upper and lower tariff limits for logistics drivers, including the classification of provincial and regency/city roads class. Both measures are part of the national action plan.

“The upper and lower tariff limits for logistics drivers have not been finalized yet. They are part of the national action plan,” she concluded.
