Deliberations on the Draft Bill on New and Renewable Energy (“ RUU EBET ”) according to Sugeng Suparwoto, Deputy Chair of Commission XII of DPR RI, leave two articles remaining.
Besides power wheeling or network leasing, according to Sugeng, the deliberations on the RUU EBET still leave the discussion on the Domestic Component Level (Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri– “ TKDN ”) unresolved.
“If in the New and Renewable Energy Law there are only two remaining issues, one concerning TKDN. The other is about power wheeling,” said Sugeng.
In the RUU EBET, provisions regarding the prioritization of domestic products and potential are regulated in two articles. These two articles divide the use of domestic potential for both New Energy and Renewable Energy. The prioritization includes labor, technology, goods and services, as well as domestic components.
