The Government Discusses the Draft Regulation of the Governmnet on Water Resources

Draft Regulation of the Government (RPP) on Water Resources is being prepared. This regulatory draft is in order to implement Article 23 of Law No. 17 of 2019 on Water Resources (Sumber Daya Air“ SDA ”) (“ SDA Law ”) (“ RPP SDA ”).

To hukumonline.com, the Director of Harmonization of Laws and Legislation III, Unan Pribadi mentioned what is included in the program."

"The conceptual issues of the policy discussed in the harmonization process include water sources, rivers, river management, lake management, reservoirs, swamps, springs, and groundwater management," said Unan.

He exemplifies river management, which includes conservation, utilization, and controlling the destructive power of rivers. The management is carried out through stages of program formulation and activity planning; infrastructure implementation and non-construction implementation; river maintenance as well as operation and maintenance of river infrastructure; monitoring and evaluation.
