The government is currently preparing the establishment of Spatial Planning Forum (Forum Penataan Ruang– “ FPR ”), which is targeted to be completed this year. The forum is being established to integrate spatial planning with the One Map Spatial Planning Policy.
"Everything is being integrated into a single forum so that spatial planning and the One Map Spatial Planning Policy can be implemented," said Suyus Windayana, Director General of Spatial Planning at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency to Hukumonline.
The FPR will consist of experts, representatives from coordinating ministries, and relevant ministries. Their role is to provide input and consideration in the implementation of spatial planning, including areas covering land, sea, air, and earth. As its legal basis, the government will issue a Regulation of the Minister.
