A number of supports are needed for the development of vertical-based affordable housing areas and Transit Oriented Development (“TOD”). Support is needed from two sides, namely supply or developers, and demand, namely the community.
Nixon Sitorus, Director of Legal and Risk Management at Perum Perumnas, stated that from the supply side, both projects require PSN status. “This project should be designated as a National Strategic Project (Proyek Strategis Nasional - “PSN”),” ucap Nixon.
In addition to PSN status, Nixon also hopes for other support from the supply side, such as the determination of state land sale values and government guarantees for funding sources. From the demand side, financial support is needed to enable lower-income groups to afford housing.
“We need tax incentives or financial access for lower-income groups,” he added.
