The House of Representatives (“ DPR ”) of Indonesia is currently preparing a Draft Bill (“ RUU ”) on Online Transportation. Member of Commission V of the DPR, Adian Napitupulu, has proposed welfare guarantees for online motorcycle taxi drivers (“ Ojol ”), which have not been accommodated by the platform operators.
“Protection of these fundamental rights must be maintained, including old age guarantee and accident insurance. The state must take this into consideration,” said Adian.
