The provisions on the ratification of international treaties under Law Number 24 of 2000 on International Treaties are considered to still leave outstanding issues in the wake of Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi/MK) Decision Number 13/PUU-XVI/2018. In that Decision, the Constitutional Court declared the relevant provision unconstitutional on the grounds that it restricted the authority of the DPR to approving only certain categories of international treaties through legislation.
