President Grants Abolition to Tom Lembong and Amnesty to Hasto Kristiyanto

The House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat / DPR) has provided its consideration and approval for two letters from President Prabowo Subianto concerning: (i) the granting of abolition (abolisi) to former Minister of Trade Thomas Trikasih Lembong, and (ii) the granting of amnesty (amnesti) to 1,116 convicted persons, including the Secretary-General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto. The decision was taken during a consultation meeting between the Government and the DPR on Thursday, 31 July 2025.
